“FireFox OneNote PowerToy”

  1. On February 9th, 2006 at 1:34 pm James Ford Says:

The current “Firefox OneNote Power Toy” extension does not work with the recent Firefox update v1.5.0.1. I have sent several messages to the author but have not received a reply about when he will be updating the extension. Can you contact hime and find out when he will update the extension to work with the latest release of Firefox?

Also if he is planning to submit the extension to Mozilla so it can be downloaded and updated from the Firefox site?

    Thanks.

I had the same problem with the extension not working. I followed a link from lifehacker.com to the following website where a solution is posted:

    http://www.liewcf.com/blog/archives/2005/09/make-old-extensions-work-in-firefox-15/

The solution works for me. But I am no expert on these things. I suppose I should say that people should use the work-around at their own risk…

But it has worked perfectly for me!

I updated the install.rdf to “MaxVersion = 1.5+” for FireFox and Flock on the copy that I host, so you can re-install it in 1.5.0.1

The idea is a good one but it leaves something to be desired.

It should NOT start a new version of OneNote everytime I clip something. Send it to my currently open OneNote. Also, give me the option of sending what I clip to my current open page, rather than inserting it into SideNotes automatically.

why.. is it so difficult to copy.. a web page to onenote. in two clicks. or less. this is a disgrace!

  6. On September 18th, 2007 at 11:09 am LDI Says:

first of all you have counted the wrong number of clips without the extension (two clicks is with the extension :p)

second, i don think you have researched a lot on the web ^_^ then u can come to appreciate the ease of such an extension which can get rid of repetitive tasks.

I am using Firefox 3, and I am getting this error message during installation:
'Clips to Onenote' will not be installed because it does not provide secure updates

    What should I do?
    Thanks
