This demonstrates a synergistic relationship between two applications, Microsoft Office OneNote 2007 and Mindjet MindManager Pro 7:
- From MindManager, you can easily map out the Notebooks, Section Groups, Sections, Pages, and Subpages, including hyperlinks:
Select Add-Ins Tab…OneNote 2007 Notebooks.- From MindManager, you can send the current map to OneNote as an image that you can sketch on and annotate:
Select MindManager…Export…Microsoft Office OneNote 2007.
- From OneNote, you can send a page to MindManager as a hyperlinked topic:
Press the Send to MindManagerbutton on the Standard toolbar in OneNote.

Hello! I have pasted a hyperlink in OneNote that links to a JPEG file located in my computer. However, when I want to open the hyperlink, the JPEG file was opened with Internet Explorer. Is there any way to change how OneNote opens the hyperlink?
Many thanks in advance!

Unfortunately this does NOT work with MindManager 8, the latest version. Even after repeated requests by many people, the author has not upgraded it to support MM8.
[sigh]
If OneNote is about capturing ideas, then the ommision of ‘mindmap’ type of tools is a great omission on Microsofts. I prefer to use one program rather then two programs.
Also, they need to borrow, some bits from Visio e.g. when you draw boxes you shoudl be able to have an arrow between then and two boxes should still be linked.
Hey the link is not working anymore but I am really intrested in bringing together MindManager and Onenote… Anyone can help?
Ditto!
Such a pity that mindjetlabs have been shut down, and most likely that add-in wouldn’t have worked with MM9 either!
But… here’s some good news because this is how you can add an hyperlink from MM to a OneNote section/page.
Go to OneNote and rightclick on a section or page tab. You will get the Copy Hyperlink command. Press it.
Go to MM. Select the desired topic and goto Insert-Add Hyperlink and then paste into the Link To field.
There you go! One important remark: you should (for some reason) hold Ctrl key while tapping on the hyperlink icon next to the topic.
